Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth that cannot be saved — for example through severe decay, fracture, advanced gum disease or to relieve crowding. At AS-Dent Studio extractions are carried out under local anaesthetic by a dental surgeon, with surgical removal available for teeth that are broken down or impacted. Aftercare and follow-up are provided, including managing problems such as a dry socket.

A cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan produces a detailed three-dimensional image of the teeth, jawbone and surrounding structures. Scanning is quick and available as a targeted region, a single arch or the full mouth, with conventional panoramic X-rays also offered for a flatter overview.
