At AS-Dent Studio implants are planned with cone-beam CT and placed by a dental surgeon, with options for immediate placement at the time of extraction and for bone augmentation or sinus elevation where more support is needed. It is a long-term way to restore a single gap or several missing teeth.
About this treatment
A dental implant replaces the root of a lost tooth with a biocompatible titanium fixture that integrates with the jawbone over the following months. Once stable, it supports a crown, bridge or denture, restoring the ability to bite and speak comfortably and helping to preserve the surrounding bone that tends to shrink after tooth loss.
At AS-Dent Studio treatment begins with a cone-beam CT scan to assess bone volume and plan the precise position of each implant, performed by a dental surgeon experienced in implantology and oral surgery. The implant is placed under local anaesthetic; where a tooth is being removed, an immediate implant can sometimes be positioned in the same appointment, reducing the number of surgical visits.
