Professional teeth whitening lightens the natural shade of the teeth using a controlled, dentist-applied gel for a brighter smile. At AS-Dent Studio in-office whitening uses the Opalescence Boost system, and a separate internal whitening option is available to lighten a single darkened tooth that has had root canal treatment. Whitening is carried out after a check-up to make sure the teeth and gums are healthy first.
About this treatment
Teeth whitening is a safe, non-invasive way to lighten teeth that have darkened or yellowed with age, diet, smoking or staining. It uses a peroxide-based gel that breaks down stain molecules within the enamel and dentine to brighten the overall shade, without removing any tooth structure.
At AS-Dent Studio in-office whitening uses the Opalescence Boost system, a chemically activated professional gel applied by the dentist with the gums carefully protected, giving a noticeable result in a single supervised session. Because the treatment is dentist-led, the concentration and timing are controlled and any sensitivity can be managed.
