MZ-Biochem Laboratory

MZ-Biochem (MZ - BIOCHEM, s.r.o.) is an accredited non-state clinical laboratory serving the Uherské Hradiště and Uherský Brod region, part of the vaselaboratore.group laboratory network. It runs biochemistry, immunochemistry and haematology testing from blood, serum, plasma and urine using modern analytical methods including colorimetry, turbidimetry and electrochemiluminescence, and its quality management system is certified to the international standard ČSN EN ISO 15189 ed. 3:2023. Alongside its core work for GPs, paediatricians and ambulatory specialists, the laboratory operates a self-payer programme: any examination it offers can be performed without a doctor's referral, paid directly at the collection room, with no advance booking required. Self-pay panels span general prevention screening, lipid and atherosclerosis risk, liver and kidney function, diabetes, thyroid, vitamin D, bone (osteoporosis) markers, anaemia, inflammation and rheumatic profiles, prostate (PSA) and fertility (AMH) testing, and urine drug screening. Samples are collected at two sites: the Městská nemocnice s poliklinikou in Uherský Brod and the Poliklinika sv. Alžběty in Uherské Hradiště. The laboratory is led by RNDr. Lenka Vilímková, Ph.D., with RNDr. Jaroslav Loucký, Ph.D., as company director.
