Kidney Function Panel

Kidney function declines slowly and silently with age and with conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes, often without symptoms until significant function is lost. This panel measures creatinine and urea — waste products cleared by the kidneys — together with related markers, allowing an estimate of filtration capacity. It is a valuable but frequently overlooked part of preventive monitoring, especially for people on long-term medication, with hypertension or diabetes, or with a family history of kidney disease.
