About

IFCOR – Klinické laboratoře is a Czech clinical laboratory network founded in 1994 by RNDr. František Flek, initially specialising in allergy and immunology before expanding into a full-service diagnostic operation across nine laboratory disciplines. Today the network holds ISO 15189:2013 accreditation (ČIA number M 8106) across five accredited facilities and operates under SÚKL permit for biological material examination. The Jihlava branch at Havlíčkova 5623/34a serves both self-referring patients and physician-ordered testing, with collection bookable by appointment on the second floor or via walk-in at the Vrchlického 57 satellite point (Monday to Friday, 7:00–10:30). Laboratory disciplines include clinical biochemistry, haematology, serology and immunology, molecular diagnostics, microbiology, parasitology, mycology, TB/mycobacteriology, and neonatal screening support. Patients receive password-protected results by secure email the next business day for most panels. The e-shop at eshop.ifcor.cz allows online ordering of more than 40 consumer health packages with card payment, avoiding the need for a physician referral. External quality assurance is maintained through SEKK, EHK SZÚ Prague, Instand and ÚHKT programmes. The clinic draws phlebotomy fee of 83 Kč per blood collection appointment for most panels, with the fee already included in all package totals listed.

Cholesterol & Lipid Panel

IFCOR's targeted Cholesterol & Lipid Panel measures the four core cardiovascular risk markers — total cholesterol, LDL (low-density lipoprotein, 'bad' cholesterol), HDL (high-density lipoprotein, 'good' cholesterol), and triglycerides — in a single fasting blood draw priced at 250 Kč all-in. This four-marker panel is the standard cardiovascular risk screen recommended by Czech cardiology guidelines and European Society of Cardiology guidance, giving patients and their physicians the data needed to estimate 10-year cardiovascular event risk, assess the impact of dietary changes, and guide statin therapy decisions. At this price point, it is ideal for frequent monitoring during lipid-lowering interventions.

STI Blood Screen — 4 Diseases (Hepatitis B, C, HIV, Syphilis)

IFCOR's four-disease STI blood screen tests for the four most significant sexually transmitted blood-borne infections — hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), hepatitis C antibodies (anti-HCV Ig), HIV antibodies, and syphilis (RPR plus confirmatory TPHA) — from a single blood draw. These are the infections most commonly screened before sexual health check-ups, new relationships, or as pre-procedural requirements for some medical treatments. The panel requires no fasting and results are available the next business day. Negative results are meaningful only during the appropriate window period: HIV requires retesting if exposure was within the last 6 weeks.

Healthy Heart Panel (Cardiac Biomarkers)

The Healthy Heart panel at IFCOR goes beyond the standard lipid check by adding two cardiac-specific biomarkers: Troponin I and NT-proBNP. Troponin I is a protein released from heart muscle when cardiac cells are damaged or stressed — elevated levels indicate myocardial injury and are the gold-standard marker for myocardial infarction diagnosis in hospitals. NT-proBNP is a hormone secreted by heart muscle cells under mechanical stretch or volume overload; elevated NT-proBNP is the most sensitive blood marker for heart failure, used internationally for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment monitoring. Together with the lipid panel and glucose, this combination provides a cardiovascular health picture that goes significantly beyond what a standard annual blood test offers. It is designed for monitoring — not for acute chest pain, which requires emergency medical attention.

Fit & Active Panel (Unisex)

The Fit & Active Unisex panel is designed for people who exercise regularly and want to confirm their training load is not damaging their organs or depleting key nutrients. Creatine kinase (CK) is the standout addition — an enzyme that leaks from muscle cells when fibres are damaged by intense exercise, and a reliable indicator of overtraining or rhabdomyolysis risk. Alongside CK, the panel checks cardiovascular markers, liver and kidney function, iron status, vitamin B12, and 25-OH vitamin D — covering the most common exercise-related nutritional gaps. The panel is suitable for both recreational and competitive athletes across all disciplines.

Men's Extra Prevention Panel

The Men's Extra Prevention panel extends the Men's Basic by adding two markers with major implications for men's health: 25-OH vitamin D for bone, immune, and testosterone-related function, and TSH for thyroid status — a marker often omitted from standard men's check-ups despite thyroid disorders affecting roughly 5% of adult men. The combined 22-marker panel at 1,650 Kč covers cardiovascular, metabolic, hepatic, renal, haematological, prostate, thyroid, and nutritional status in a single fasting blood draw. It is the most complete affordable men's annual screen available without a physician referral in the Jihlava area.

Men's Basic Prevention Panel

IFCOR's Men's Basic Prevention panel adds PSA (prostate-specific antigen) to the core preventive markers, making it the standard starting point for men's annual health monitoring. PSA alongside CBC, lipid profile, liver enzymes, kidney function, CRP, and urinalysis gives a clinically meaningful cross-section of the health risks men face from their 40s onward. At 1,050 Kč total, it is priced to make annual monitoring accessible without needing a GP referral or health insurance coverage. The panel requires a standard fasting blood draw and morning urine, with results available the next business day by secure email from the ISO 15189-accredited Jihlava laboratory.

ALEX2 Comprehensive Allergy Panel — 295 Allergens

The ALEX2 Comprehensive Allergy Panel tests IgE reactivity against 295 allergens — 117 standardised extract-level allergens plus 178 molecular (component-resolved) allergens — in a single blood sample. This is the most extensive allergy testing methodology available outside of specialist immunology centres, covering pollen (grasses, trees, weeds), house dust mites, pet dander, moulds, and a wide range of food allergens. By testing both extract-level and molecular allergen components simultaneously, ALEX2 distinguishes true primary sensitisation from cross-reactive false positives — a critical advantage over skin-prick testing or single-allergen IgE panels. Results within 1–2 weeks require physician interpretation to translate the 295 results into a meaningful clinical picture.

Thrombophilia Genetic Panel

IFCOR's Thrombophilia Genetic Panel is a comprehensive coagulation and genetics screen for people at elevated risk of inherited blood-clotting disorders. It combines haematological coagulation markers (CBC, prothrombin time, aPTT, fibrinogen, D-dimers, antithrombin) with molecular PCR testing for the five most clinically significant thrombophilia mutations: Factor V Leiden, Prothrombin gene G20210A, Factor XIII, MTHFR C677T, MTHFR A1298C, and PAI-1 4G/5G. Unlike coagulation function tests alone, genetic testing identifies permanent inherited risk that does not normalise with treatment — enabling lifelong risk-aware decisions about anticoagulation, hormonal contraception, pregnancy management, and surgery. Informed consent is required. Results are available within two weeks.

Women's Basic Prevention Panel

IFCOR's Women's Basic Prevention panel is a 20-biomarker baseline blood and urine screen designed for women who want health monitoring beyond their standard GP check-up. A single fasting blood draw and morning urine sample, collected at the Jihlava laboratory or satellite point, covers the core cardiovascular, metabolic, thyroid, liver, and kidney markers most relevant to women's health. Results arrive by password-protected email the next business day. The panel suits women of any adult age who have not had recent comprehensive blood work and want an affordable, physician-free entry point into preventive health monitoring. At 950 Kč all-in, it is one of the most cost-effective comprehensive screens available in the Vysočina region.

Thyroid Basic Screen (TSH + fT4)

IFCOR's Thyroid Basic Screen is a targeted two-marker test — TSH and free T4 — that confirms whether the thyroid gland is functioning within normal limits. TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) is the pituitary's signal to the thyroid; abnormal TSH is the earliest indicator of hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism in over 95% of cases. Free T4 is the main thyroid hormone produced in response to TSH, and measuring both together distinguishes primary thyroid disease from secondary pituitary problems. At 450 Kč, this is the most affordable entry point for anyone with unexplained weight change, fatigue, hair loss, temperature sensitivity, or mood changes who wants to check thyroid function before a GP consultation.

Thyroid Comprehensive Panel (TSH + fT4 + fT3 + Antibodies)

The Thyroid Comprehensive panel extends the Basic two-marker screen with four additional markers — free T3, anti-TPO, anti-TG, and thyroglobulin — that are necessary to diagnose autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Graves' disease), distinguish thyroid cancer recurrence monitoring, and assess T3/T4 conversion efficiency. Free T3 is the biologically active form of thyroid hormone; its ratio to T4 reveals conversion problems in peripheral tissues. Anti-TPO and anti-TG antibodies are the hallmarks of autoimmune thyroid disease, present in over 90% of Hashimoto's cases. This panel is the appropriate choice when the Basic screen returns borderline results or when autoimmune thyroid disease is suspected.

Healthy Lifestyle Panel

The Healthy Lifestyle panel is IFCOR's dedicated screen for people following plant-based diets, intensive fitness regimens, or restrictive eating patterns who want laboratory confirmation that their nutritional strategy is working. Beyond the standard metabolic and cardiovascular markers, this panel adds transferrin and ferritin for iron status depth, vitamin B12 (critical for vegans), 25-OH vitamin D, and total protein with albumin to verify adequate macro-nutrition. At 1,950 Kč total, it provides a clinically validated nutritional audit that nutritionists and plant-based health advocates would typically need to assemble from multiple separate tests.

Liver Function Panel

IFCOR's Liver Function Panel measures nine markers — total protein, albumin, bilirubin (total and conjugated), AST, ALT, GGT, ALP, and cholinesterase — to assess hepatocellular integrity, biliary flow, and the liver's synthetic capacity. Cholinesterase is a marker of hepatic protein synthesis rarely included in standard liver panels; it falls in liver failure, chronic hepatitis, and malnutrition, providing an early synthetic function warning. At 250 Kč total with phlebotomy, this targeted panel is economical enough for repeat monitoring before and after dietary changes, alcohol reduction programmes, or medication adjustments.

Kidney Function Panel

IFCOR's Kidney Function Panel tests ten markers covering glomerular filtration, electrolyte balance, tubular function, and urine sediment to give a complete picture of kidney health in a single fasting collection. The CKD-EPI equation — calculated from creatinine, age, and sex — provides an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) that is the internationally standard metric for chronic kidney disease staging. Uric acid flags gout risk and urate nephropathy. Urinalysis with sediment detects protein loss, blood, and infection indicators that blood tests alone cannot reveal. At 300 Kč, this targeted panel is accessible for regular monitoring in hypertensive, diabetic, or at-risk patients.

Lyme Disease Antibody Screen (IgG + IgM)

IFCOR's Lyme Disease Antibody Screen detects both IgM and IgG antibodies against Borrelia burgdorferi — the bacterial pathogen transmitted by tick bites — using recombinant antigen-based serology. IgM antibodies appear 2–4 weeks after infection and indicate recent or active infection; IgG antibodies develop 4–8 weeks after infection and can persist for years, indicating past exposure. The Czech Republic is one of the highest-incidence Lyme disease regions in Europe due to its forested landscape and high Ixodes ricinus tick density, making this test a routine consideration after tick bites or unexplained flu-like symptoms, joint pain, or neurological symptoms in summer and autumn. Results are available the next business day without fasting.

Fit & Active Panel (Men) with Testosterone

The Men's Fit & Active panel adds total testosterone measurement to the Unisex panel, addressing the hormonal dimension of men's athletic performance. Testosterone is the primary anabolic hormone driving muscle protein synthesis, red blood cell production, bone density, and recovery capacity. Overtraining, chronic caloric restriction, and high psychological stress all suppress testosterone — making this marker essential for men who train hard and want to monitor whether their regimen is supporting or undermining their hormonal health. Together with CK, vitamin D, and the full metabolic screen, this panel gives male athletes a near-complete picture of their physiological readiness.

Women's Extra Prevention Panel

The Women's Extra Prevention panel expands the Basic panel with two clinically important additions: ferritin, which reveals iron storage depletion before anaemia becomes apparent on a standard CBC, and 25-OH vitamin D, the most reliable marker of vitamin D status and a key factor in bone health, immune function, and mood regulation. At 1,600 Kč total with phlebotomy, this panel provides a thorough hormonal, metabolic, and nutritional overview that most private GPs would charge two to three times more to order separately. It is particularly suited to women experiencing unexplained fatigue, hair loss, or recurrent infections who want to check both nutritional adequacy and organ function in a single visit.

Diabetes Screening (Glucose + HbA1c)

IFCOR's Diabetes Screening panel pairs fasting glucose with HbA1c (glycated haemoglobin) — the two-marker combination recommended by international diabetes guidelines for both screening and monitoring. Fasting glucose captures the immediate blood sugar level at the moment of collection; HbA1c reflects average blood glucose over the preceding 8–12 weeks by measuring the percentage of haemoglobin molecules that have been irreversibly glycated. Together they detect pre-diabetes and diabetes more reliably than either marker alone. The panel costs 300 Kč and is suitable for anyone with diabetes risk factors — obesity, family history, gestational diabetes history, hypertension, or fatigue — who wants to check before requesting a full GP work-up.
