VIDIA-DIAGNOSTIKA is one of Prague's most established independent private laboratories, operating since the early 1990s and fully accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute (ČIA) since 2010. The central laboratory is located in the ISCARE hospital building in Praha 9 Libeň, staffed by specialist teams led by Ing. Martin Valkus (biochemistry/haematology) and MUDr. Dana Hrubá (virology/bacteriology). Thirty collection sites are distributed across Prague districts and surrounding towns — including Mělník, Příbram, Sedlčany, Poděbrady and Velké Meziříčí — with opening hours starting as early as 06:00 to accommodate fasting blood draws before work. Self-paying patients attend a collection site directly, bringing a physician referral form and health insurance card; results are accessible online via the patient portal at vysledky.vidia-diagnostika.cz or, on request, by email. The laboratory's testing scope covers clinical biochemistry, haematology, coagulation, infectious disease serology (including PCR molecular diagnostics for HIV, hepatitis, STIs and respiratory pathogens), immunology, allergology and reproductive immunology — including fertility and sterility panels produced in partnership with the GENNET genetics clinic at the Praha 7 collection site. Price lists are published on the website and valid from 2025-02-01, providing transparent self-payer pricing with no hidden fees. VIDIA-DIAGNOSTIKA became fully independent from the SYNBIOL group in May 2021 and is registered at the Municipal Court Prague (Section C, Volume 4657).
