VIDIA DIAGNOSTIKA's Soubor štítné žlázy (Thyroid Panel) covers the five most clinically relevant thyroid markers in a single blood draw: TSH, free T4 (fT4), free T3 (fT3), anti-thyroglobulin antibodies (anti-TG) and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies (anti-TPO). This combination allows a physician to assess thyroid activity (hypo- vs hyperthyroidism) and identify autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's thyroiditis or Graves' disease) simultaneously. Processed in VIDIA's ČIA-certified laboratory at a transparent self-payer price of 1,953 Kč.
About this treatment
Thyroid dysfunction is among the most common endocrine disorders in the Czech population, and VIDIA DIAGNOSTIKA's five-marker Soubor štítné žlázy provides a complete functional and autoimmune assessment in a single panel. The included markers address both the hormonal and immunological dimensions of thyroid health.
TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) is the primary screening marker for thyroid function. Produced by the pituitary gland, TSH rises when circulating thyroid hormone is insufficient (hypothyroidism) and falls when thyroid hormone is excessive (hyperthyroidism). Current Czech and European guidelines set the TSH reference range at approximately 0.4–4.0 mIU/L, with sub-clinical hypothyroidism defined by TSH 4–10 mIU/L with normal free hormones.
fT4 (free thyroxine) and fT3 (free triiodothyronine) are the biologically active fractions of the two main thyroid hormones, measured independently of binding protein variation. Low fT4 with elevated TSH confirms overt hypothyroidism. Elevated fT3 and fT4 with suppressed TSH indicates hyperthyroidism. The ratio and pattern of all three together is more diagnostically precise than TSH alone — essential when TSH sits in a borderline zone.
