Private Access

Private Access is a private diagnostic imaging group founded in Graz by Univ. Prof. Dr. Dieter Szolar and Univ. Doz. Dr. Klaus Preidler — two habilitated radiologists with more than 25 years of clinical and research experience and over 1,300 scientific publications between them. The Vienna location, opened in 2015, focuses on magnetic resonance tomography using a Siemens MAGNETOM Verio 3 Tesla scanner (worldwide serial number 17) with a 70-centimetre open bore, offering the full range of brain, spine, joint, cardiac, prostate, and breast MRI examinations to private patients without long waiting times. The Linz location, added in 2021, extends the group's capabilities to computed tomography using a Siemens SOMATOM Force — a dual-source, dual-energy system with worldwide serial number 14. This scanner reduces radiation exposure by up to 90 percent compared to older CT systems and substantially lowers the volume of contrast medium required. Linz offers the full spectrum of CT examinations alongside MRI, including cardiac CT, coronary calcium scoring, CT angiography, low-dose lung screening, and virtual colonoscopy. The original Graz institute was historically the first private outpatient site in Europe to install both a 4-slice and a 64-slice multilayer spiral CT — milestones that underline the group's long-standing commitment to adopting leading-edge imaging technology outside the hospital setting. Across all Private Access locations, patients benefit from rapid appointment scheduling, personal reception, a dedicated patient lounge, and direct access to findings via a patient portal.
