MRI (Linz)

Type

MRI Scan

Duration

30 min

3 Tesla MRI examinations at Private Access Linz — the full range of brain, spine, joint, and abdominal protocols offered alongside CT in one integrated appointment if required.

MRI at Private Access Linz provides patients in Upper Austria with access to the full spectrum of 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging within the same facility that houses the Siemens SOMATOM Force CT. This combination means that patients who require both CT and MRI assessments — for example, a cardiac CT followed by cardiac MRI — can complete both examinations in a single visit without travelling between different centres. The Linz MRI service covers all major applications: brain and spinal cord imaging, musculoskeletal examinations of joints and spine, abdominal and pelvic organ assessment, prostate multiparametric MRI, and vascular angiography sequences. Protocols are consistent with those offered in Vienna, ensuring that reports are comparable in structure and radiological interpretation quality. The Linz radiology team is led by Priv. Doz. Dr. Peter Brader, a habilitated radiologist connected to the Medical University of Graz. The wider network of Private Access habilitated doctors — including Univ. Prof. Dr. Szolar and Univ. Doz. Dr. Preidler from the founding Graz practice — supports quality oversight across all locations. Appointments are arranged rapidly, typically within 24 hours. Results are available via the patient portal and transferred electronically to referring specialists. No GP referral is required for self-pay patients.
