Hot Stone & Sports Massage
Sportklinik offers two massage modalities — hot stone massage and sports reconditioning massage — delivered by a partner massage team (FLORA TOP J+P s.r.o.) within the clinic's wellness suite. Hot stone massage uses heated volcanic basalt stones combined with warm oil to deliver deep, penetrating heat to muscle groups, reducing tension, improving circulation, and calming the nervous system. Sports massage applies deeper pressure and specific techniques adapted for athletes and active individuals: addressing musculofascial adhesions, improving range of motion, and supporting recovery between training sessions. Both formats are available in 30-minute and 60-minute sessions.
physiotherapy
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy at Sportklinik is delivered by a team of five qualified physiotherapists working under the medical oversight of MUDr. Jiří Neumann, Czech Olympic Team physician. Sessions draw on soft tissue mobilisation, high-performance laser, mid-frequency electrotherapy (TR Therapy), deep oscillation, device-assisted lymphatic drainage via the BTL Lymphastim 6000, and shock wave therapy as needed. The clinic's gait analysis platform — a Sensor Medica pressure-sensitive treadmill — is available to support kinesiological assessment and movement retraining. Kinesiology taping with BB Tape and individualized compensatory exercise programs using large balls, Bosu, Overball, Flowin, and resistance bands complete the toolkit. All major Czech health insurance providers are accepted alongside private patients.

Pressotherapy — Machine Lymphatic Drainage (BTL Lymphastim 6000)
Pressotherapy at Sportklinik uses the BTL Lymphastim 6000 — a medical-grade sequential air-compression system consisting of inflatable sleeve compartments that envelope the limbs and rhythmically inflate and deflate. The device mimics the natural muscle pump that drives lymphatic circulation, assisting the body in clearing excess fluid, metabolic waste, and inflammatory proteins from tissues. It is used both clinically — for post-surgical oedema, lymphoedema, and sports recovery — and as a standalone wellness treatment for leg heaviness, poor circulation, and relaxation. Sessions last 30 minutes and can be booked as a standalone appointment or added to physiotherapy sessions.

Telemetric Spiroergometry — VO2 Max & Cardiorespiratory Performance Test
Sportklinik offers field-based telemetric spiroergometry using the COSMED K4B2 — a portable, wireless metabolic analyser weighing under 500 g that transmits over 30 cardiorespiratory parameters in real time from up to 1,000 m away. Unlike laboratory treadmill tests, the COSMED K4B2 is used in the athlete's actual sport environment: on a running track, ice rink, court, or football pitch. This means the VO2 max and ventilatory threshold data captured reflects genuine performance conditions rather than an approximation of them. MUDr. Jiří Neumann, as Czech Olympic Team chief medical officer, has applied this protocol with elite athletes across multiple disciplines. The resulting report includes VO2 max, VCO2, heart rate response curves, respiratory exchange ratio, and ventilatory threshold identification — the inputs coaches and physiologists need to set training zones and monitor adaptation.
shock-wave-therapy
Shock Wave Therapy (Swiss DolorClast)
Sportklinik uses the Swiss DolorClast radial shock wave device — the clinical standard for non-surgical treatment of soft tissue overuse injuries. Acoustic pressure waves generated at 5–6 bar penetrate up to 3.5 cm into the target tissue, breaking down calcium deposits, stimulating local circulation, and triggering the natural tissue-repair cascade. The device is widely cited in clinical literature for 80–95% success rates in enthesopathies and chronic tendon conditions when delivered as a 5-session course. Sessions last approximately 15 minutes and are performed by the clinical team under medical supervision from MUDr. Jiří Neumann. No anesthesia is required, though mild transient discomfort during the procedure is normal.

Orthokine Regenerative Joint Therapy
Orthokine is an autologous biological joint therapy in which the patient's own blood is drawn, specially incubated to concentrate anti-inflammatory cytokines (including IL-1Ra) at levels up to 140 times their baseline concentration, and then injected into the affected joint or tendon. Unlike corticosteroid injections, which suppress inflammation systemically and may weaken cartilage over time, Orthokine introduces the body's own regulatory proteins to interrupt the inflammatory cycle at its source — without synthetic drugs. Sportklinik is one of only a handful of Czech clinics offering this protocol, with MUDr. Jiří Neumann performing all procedures. A standard course is 6 applications over approximately 30 days.
