Physiotherapy at Sportklinik is delivered by a team of five qualified physiotherapists working under the medical oversight of MUDr. Jiří Neumann, Czech Olympic Team physician. Sessions draw on soft tissue mobilisation, high-performance laser, mid-frequency electrotherapy (TR Therapy), deep oscillation, device-assisted lymphatic drainage via the BTL Lymphastim 6000, and shock wave therapy as needed. The clinic's gait analysis platform — a Sensor Medica pressure-sensitive treadmill — is available to support kinesiological assessment and movement retraining. Kinesiology taping with BB Tape and individualized compensatory exercise programs using large balls, Bosu, Overball, Flowin, and resistance bands complete the toolkit. All major Czech health insurance providers are accepted alongside private patients.
Physiotherapy at Sportklinik combines clinical-grade equipment with hands-on manual therapy delivered by five practitioners holding degrees from Czech physiotherapy programmes — Bc. Pavla Macháčková, Mgr. Martina Hobzová, Mgr. Pavlína Holečková, Bc. Petr Kovárník, and Ing. Bc. Kristýna Plevová. Each works under the medical supervision of MUDr. Jiří Neumann, surgeon and Czech Olympic Team chief medical officer, giving the department a level of medical backing unusual in outpatient physiotherapy. Sessions begin with a kinesiological and musculoskeletal assessment to identify movement faults and structural restrictions. Manual techniques — soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, and myofascial release — address the underlying dysfunction, while a suite of physical modalities accelerates tissue healing and pain relief. The high-performance laser penetrates to 5 cm depth, stimulating cell metabolism and reducing inflammation in tendons, joints, and muscles. TR Therapy uses mid-frequency electrotherapy to modulate pain signals and reduce muscle spasm. Deep oscillation generates gentle resonance through skin and underlying tissue, improving lymphatic drainage and reducing oedema after injury or surgery. For patients with swelling or chronic lymphatic issues, the BTL Lymphastim 6000 pneumatic compression system can be incorporated directly into the physiotherapy programme. Gait problems and biomechanical faults are assessed on the Sensor Medica baropodometric platform — a pressure-sensitive treadmill and static plate that maps foot pressure distribution, postural alignment, and walking mechanics across speeds from 0.1 to 20 km/h. Kinesiology taping using BB Tape provides inter-session support for recovering tendons and muscles. Conditions treated include acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation (particularly after orthopaedic procedures), cervicogenic headaches, lumbar and cervical spine pain, shoulder and rotator cuff pathologies, tendinopathies (Achilles, patellar, lateral epicondyle), and postural disorders. Athletes from recreational to elite level form a significant patient group; the clinic is a medical partner to local sports clubs and Czech Olympic team athletes. Preparation: wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated. Bring any relevant imaging (X-ray, MRI, ultrasound) or referral letters. Session frequency depends on diagnosis — acute conditions typically 3–5 sessions per week initially, chronic or preventive work 1–2 per week. All major Czech health insurance providers are accepted.
