Nemocnica Bory

Nemocnica Bory is the flagship hospital of Penta Hospitals Slovensko, opened in 2023 in Bratislava's Lamač district as the most technologically advanced hospital in Slovakia. The campus integrates acute and planned care across 39 medical specialties in a purpose-built building designed around patient wellbeing — all 400 beds are single-occupancy rooms with private bathrooms, and the interior architecture prioritises natural light and a therapeutic environment. The radiology department operates five CT scanners, two MRI machines, PET/CT, SPECT/CT, 28 ultrasound units, and mammography. This concentration of imaging hardware is exceptional by Central European standards and supports a broad self-pay imaging menu with published EUR prices. The hospital's official self-pay price list for radiology is updated regularly and covers native CT, contrast-enhanced CT, CT angiography, CT-guided procedures, and virtual colonoscopy. For self-paying patients, all radiology examinations require a written referral from a physician — a signed, stamped paper request form. Same-day self-pay appointments are available by calling the contact centre (Mon–Fri 07:00–16:00). The hospital accepts patients from all Slovak health insurers as well as international self-payers and expats. Staff include specialists trained in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and abroad. Nemocnica Bory sits adjacent to a major bus terminus with direct Bratislava city centre connections, and ample parking is available on campus. The hospital operates around the clock for emergency cases, with outpatient radiology available on weekdays.
