Low-Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening (LDCT)
Low-dose CT (LDCT) lung cancer screening at Multiscan Pardubice uses the Siemens Somatom X.cite CT scanner to detect early-stage lung cancer in high-risk individuals before symptoms appear. The programme targets current and former heavy smokers aged 55–74 and is registered with the national prevenceproplice.cz screening initiative. LDCT uses a fraction of the radiation dose of a standard diagnostic CT while retaining sufficient resolution to identify suspicious pulmonary nodules as small as a few millimetres — the stage at which lung cancer is most treatable. Eligible patients enrolled with contracted Czech insurers receive the scan at no cost.

Diagnostic MRI at Multiscan Pardubice is performed on two Siemens scanners — a 1.5T Magnetom Avanto Fit and a premium 3T Magnetom Skyra with a wide 70 cm bore — covering brain and neurological studies, abdominal organs, prostate, breast, enterography and spine examinations. The 3T scanner delivers superior soft-tissue contrast compared with standard 1.5T units, making it particularly valuable for complex neurological, oncological and prostate imaging. Self-pay and international patients are coordinated through Altoa Medical Tourism, the centre's dedicated partner for non-insured visitors. Scans run 20–50 minutes depending on the protocol, with results forwarded directly to the referring physician and a free printed copy available at reception with ID.

CT scanning at Multiscan Pardubice is performed on a Siemens Somatom X.cite — a modern wide-bore (82 cm) scanner with a 307 kg patient weight capacity, housed at the new 2025 Na Spravedlnosti facility. The system covers brain, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine and extremity studies, with scanning times of approximately 10 minutes. The wide bore is beneficial for larger patients and for full oncological staging studies that cover multiple body regions. Self-pay and international patients book through Altoa Medical Tourism and require a physician referral sent in advance.
