Examinations include chest X-ray (the most common — for respiratory infections, heart size assessment, rib fractures, pleural effusion), extremity X-rays (fractures, arthritis, joint alignment), spine X-rays (scoliosis assessment, compression fractures, disc space), pelvis and hip, and other skeletal regions as indicated. The department does not perform fluoroscopy or contrast studies — these are handled by other hospital services.
