KMI (Korea Medical Institute)

KMI (Korea Medical Institute) has operated since 1985 as a non-profit foundation focused exclusively on preventive health screening, growing into a network of eight centres across South Korea. The Gwanghwamun centre in central Seoul occupies multiple floors of the Dongwha Duty Free Building on Sejong-daero, steps from Gwanghwamun Station, and is specifically configured to serve foreign nationals with English, Chinese, Japanese, and Mongolian-speaking staff. Three screening tiers — Standard, Signature, and Noble — scale from foundational blood work, abdominal ultrasound, and gastric screening up to brain MRI, bone density, comprehensive CT imaging, and five-gene cancer panels. The Standard package covers liver, kidney, lipid, thyroid, and tumour marker panels alongside chest X-ray and abdominal ultrasound. Signature adds colonoscopy, gender-specific ultrasound, and a choice of two advanced imaging options including thyroid, carotid, or cardiac ultrasound and brain or lung CT. Noble extends into brain MRI and MRA, genetic testing, comprehensive ultrasound coverage, and expanded laboratory work including ferritin, lipase, and hepatitis A serology. KMI issues English-language results and receipts, and its Gwanghwamun location is conveniently situated for visitors staying in the Jongno or Myeongdong areas of central Seoul.
