Type
Full Body Checkup
Duration
3 hours
An expanded screening that adds gender-specific ultrasound, colonoscopy or M2-PK stool test, and two selections from advanced imaging options including thyroid, carotid, or cardiac ultrasound, brain or spine CT, lung CT, and cardiac calcium CT. The Signature tier extends the Standard panel into cancer screening and cardiovascular evaluation territory.
The Signature Checkup at KMI builds on the Standard tier by adding imaging and screening modalities that target the two leading causes of morbidity in middle-aged adults: cancer and cardiovascular disease. The package is structured so that patients select two advanced imaging options from a menu, allowing personalisation based on risk factors and family history. Gender-specific ultrasound adds prostate evaluation for men and pelvic ultrasound (uterus, ovaries) for women, extending the abdominal imaging from the Standard tier into the reproductive and urological organs. These scans screen for enlargement, cysts, fibroids, and structural abnormalities that routine blood work cannot detect. Colonoscopy is performed under sedation, screening the entire large bowel for polyps, adenomas, and early colorectal cancer. For patients who prefer a non-invasive alternative, KMI offers the M2-PK stool test, a tumour marker-based faecal test with higher sensitivity than standard occult blood testing. Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in Korea and globally, and screening colonoscopy is the reference standard for early detection and prevention through polyp removal. The two selectable imaging options allow patients to focus the screening on areas of personal concern. Thyroid ultrasound provides detailed evaluation of nodules and structural changes. Carotid ultrasound measures intima-media thickness to assess atherosclerosis risk. Cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) evaluates chamber dimensions, valve function, and ejection fraction. Brain and spine CT provide cross-sectional imaging of neurological structures. Lung CT uses low-dose protocols optimised for detecting small pulmonary nodules. Cardiac calcium CT quantifies coronary artery calcification, a well-validated predictor of cardiovascular event risk. All Standard tier components carry forward, including the full blood panel, chest X-ray, abdominal ultrasound, and gastric screening. The physician consultation at the end integrates findings from the additional imaging into a comprehensive risk assessment delivered in the patient's preferred language.
