Checkpoint München is a community-based sexual health testing centre operated by Münchner Aids-Hilfe e.V., a non-profit organisation providing HIV and STI services since the 1980s. Located on Lindwurmstraße near Goetheplatz, the centre offers anonymous, low-cost screening for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. All testing is available without a health insurance card and without referral. The centre serves as a PrEP checkpoint, combining HIV and STI screening with kidney function monitoring and consultation for pre-exposure prophylaxis users. Rapid tests deliver results within minutes; laboratory-based confirmatory tests are processed through partner labs. Risk counselling is included with every visit. The team speaks German and English.
