The Health Check is Checkpoint München's broadest screening package, designed to cover the major sexually transmitted infections in one visit. HIV testing uses either a fourth-generation rapid test detecting both antibodies and p24 antigen with results in minutes, or a laboratory-based test sent to a partner lab for confirmation within a few days. Syphilis screening follows the same dual-path approach — a rapid treponemal test for immediate results or a laboratory TPHA/VDRL combination for staging. Chlamydia and gonorrhea are detected via smear samples taken from relevant anatomical sites based on the patient's sexual history and risk profile. These bacterial infections are frequently asymptomatic, particularly in pharyngeal and rectal sites, making routine screening essential for sexually active individuals regardless of symptom presence. Every appointment includes a structured risk counselling session. A trained counsellor reviews the patient's exposure history, discusses risk reduction strategies, and provides information on PrEP, PEP, and vaccination options.
