Affidea Praha CT

Affidea Praha is the flagship Czech Republic centre of Affidea Group, which operates more than 300 diagnostic imaging centres across 15 European countries. The Chodov facility runs a GE Revolution GSI computed tomography scanner — a 256-detector system with Gemstone Spectral Imaging that enables dual-energy protocols, virtual monochromatic imaging, and precise tissue characterisation beyond what conventional CT provides. The CT service covers the full diagnostic range: brain and head CT, chest and lung screening, abdomen and pelvis, spine, and whole-trunk examinations. Cardiac subspecialty CT includes coronary artery calcium scoring (CAC/Agatston score) for heart attack risk stratification and CT coronary angiography — a non-invasive alternative to catheter angiography for visualising the coronary arteries. All examinations are reported by a team of six consultant radiologists with subspecialty expertise. Private patients can book directly without a GP referral. Reports are issued in Czech and English. As part of the Affidea network, the Prague centre follows group-wide imaging protocols and quality standards that are harmonised across all 15 countries of operation. The Chodov site also houses specialist clinics for cardiology, angiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, and densitometry — making it one of the most comprehensive diagnostic outpatient facilities in Prague.
