Bach Flower Therapy
Bach flower therapy at Institut Celostní Medicíny uses personalised combinations of flower essences — preparations derived from wild flowers and diluted in spring water — to address the emotional and psychological patterns that underlie or accompany physical illness. Dr Edward Bach identified 38 remedies corresponding to specific emotional states: fear, uncertainty, oversensitivity, loneliness, despondency, and excessive concern for others. MUDr. Strnadelová selects combinations specific to each patient's emotional landscape and integrates Bach prescribing into the clinic's broader holistic treatment plan.
Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupuncture)
Auriculotherapy applies fine acupuncture needles to specific points on the outer ear, which in Traditional Chinese Medicine functions as a microsystem reflecting the entire body. Each region of the ear corresponds to an organ system, body part, or physiological function — by stimulating these points, MUDr. Strnadelová can influence conditions throughout the body without touching the affected area directly. Auriculotherapy is particularly valued for pain management, emotional regulation, and addiction support.
Cupping Therapy (Baňkování)
Traditional cupping therapy — known in Czech as baňkování — uses glass or silicone cups applied to the skin to create gentle suction that draws superficial blood and lymph to the surface, loosens myofascial tissue, and stimulates circulation in the treated area. At Institut Celostní Medicíny, cupping is applied as part of a Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment protocol by MUDr. Strnadelová, particularly for back pain, respiratory congestion, and conditions where muscle tension or poor circulation contribute to symptoms.
Acupuncture
Classical acupuncture delivered by MUDr. Vladimíra Strnadelová at Institut Celostní Medicíny, Praha 1. Fine sterile needles are placed at precisely selected points along the body's meridian pathways to regulate energy flow, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the body's own healing responses. Sessions run 30 minutes and are commonly prescribed weekly or twice weekly. Acute and chronic pain, joint conditions, spinal complaints, allergies, and a wide range of systemic disorders all respond well to this form of treatment.
Air Cupping Therapy
Air cupping therapy for muscle recovery and pain relief.
Cupping Therapy
Traditional cupping to relax muscles, reduce aches and pains, remove toxins, and balance the body.
Homeopathy Consultation
Homeopathy consultations at Institut Celostní Medicíny are conducted by MUDr. Vladimíra Strnadelová, who applies homeopathy primarily at lower and medium potencies for both acute and chronic conditions. The approach operates on the principle that highly diluted substances that produce symptoms in healthy people can, at appropriate potency, stimulate the body's self-regulatory capacity in patients presenting those same symptoms. The clinical interview is detailed and takes in the totality of physical, emotional, and constitutional symptoms to identify the most fitting remedy.
Chinese Herbal Medicine & Phytotherapy
Chinese herbal phytotherapy at Institut Celostní Medicíny involves individually tailored herbal formulas drawn from both the Traditional Chinese Medicine materia medica and European botanical medicine. MUDr. Strnadelová combines her training in TCM phytotherapy with knowledge of locally grown European medicinal plants to compose formulas specific to each patient's diagnosis. Rather than prescribing standardised supplements, she formulates custom herbal blends that address the patient's pattern at organ, energetic, and constitutional levels — adjusting the prescription at each follow-up based on response.

Japanese Acupuncture with Moxibustion
Japanese acupuncture is a distinctive style that uses ultra-fine needles — just 0.14 mm in diameter, typically inserted to a depth of no more than 1 mm, often touching the skin surface only — making it exceptionally gentle and nearly painless compared to Traditional Chinese needling. Eva Hajská integrates moxibustion heat therapy with Japanese needling: dried moxa herb is burned near or on specific acupuncture points to add warming therapeutic energy. Three moxibustion techniques are offered — Tonetskyu (small moxa pieces on points), Chinetskyu (deeper thermal effect), and Ondan moxa (smokeless herbal-charcoal rolls that warm the inserted needle). This style is particularly suited to sensitive patients, those apprehensive about needling, and conditions rooted in cold or deficiency patterns in TCM diagnosis.
Abdominal Acupuncture
Abdominal acupuncture is a modern microsystem technique developed within the last 30 years that works through a complete map of the body projected onto the abdominal surface — specifically the Hara (Dantian) energy centre. Eva Hajská needles precise points on the abdomen that correspond to the condition of organs, joints, and body regions elsewhere in the body. Because needles are placed on the torso rather than directly at a pain site, the technique is often used for patients with conditions affecting multiple areas simultaneously or where standard limb-based needling is not appropriate. Conditions addressed include chronic back and joint pain, Parkinson's disease support, stroke rehabilitation, migraines, insomnia, depression, digestive disorders, and gynaecological complaints. Sessions follow the same 60-minute structure as other acupuncture styles offered at this practice.
Acupuncture — Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese acupuncture at this Brno practice uses fine sterile needles placed at specific meridian points to restore the flow of chi (vital energy) and balance the body's yin-yang dynamic. Eva Hajská has practised this form of acupuncture since 2012, integrating tongue and pulse diagnostics into each session to map the individual energetic landscape before treatment. Sessions are 60 minutes; the initial appointment includes a full intake assessment alongside the first needling treatment. Conditions commonly addressed include chronic musculoskeletal pain, sleep disturbance, migraines, digestive issues, stress, and women's hormonal health. Patient testimonials describe resolution of long-standing neck and shoulder pain, cervical spine injuries, hip pain, and rheumatoid arthritis after a course of sessions.
Acupuncture — Pain, Weight and Smoking Cessation
Medical acupuncture administered by a neurologist for the treatment of painful conditions (headaches, musculoskeletal pain), obesity management and smoking cessation. MUDr. Brychtová's primary clinical specialism is neurology, and she lists acupuncture alongside neurological examination and movement-apparatus care as part of her clinical offering. This combination — neurological medicine plus acupuncture — is a recognised integrative approach in Czech private practice, giving the practitioner deep anatomical knowledge of nerve pathways that is directly applicable to precise needle placement. Sessions run approximately 45 minutes.
Acupuncture — Standard Session
Acupuncture at Bolest Brno is delivered by two certified algesiologists — MUDr. Eva Kynclová and MUDr. Michaela Cahová — at a clinic designated as an acupuncture teaching centre. The approach goes well beyond standard needle insertion: practitioners may apply electroacupuncture (electrical stimulation through needles or a blunt pen), moxibustion (heat stimulation), pharmacopuncture (injection of medications at acupuncture points), cupping and magnetic or light stimulation — selecting the combination most suited to each patient's condition. Fine, single-use sterile needles in gauges 0.1–0.4 mm are used throughout. The technique targets acute and chronic pain including headache, cervical and lumbar syndromes, joint pain, trigeminal neuralgia and post-stroke spasticity, as well as functional disorders of the motor system and certain immune-related conditions. A course of approximately 6 sessions is typically recommended, with acute conditions treated daily and chronic conditions once every one to two weeks.
Initial Holistic Consultation & EAV Diagnostics
The starting point for all care at Institut Celostní Medicíny, this 60-minute initial session combines a detailed case history with an EAV electroacupuncture diagnostic scan of the body's organ systems. MUDr. Strnadelová uses the EAV device to map organ functional load, immune status, and the presence of viral, bacterial, or fungal burdens — information that guides a fully personalised treatment plan drawn from the clinic's integrative toolkit of Chinese medicine, homeopathy, dietology, and phytotherapy.
