The targeted contrast liver study at Klinika JL is a focused MRI protocol that emphasises contrast-enhanced sequences for monitoring a known liver lesion or following up a specific area after prior imaging. At 4,000 Kč self-pay with contrast included, it is the lowest-priced MRI on the clinic's list and suited to surveillance protocols where a full multi-phase study has already been performed. Fasting for 3–4 hours is required. The Philips 3 Tesla scanner provides the same field strength as the full liver study; this shorter protocol completes the imaging task efficiently without repeating the full dynamic workup.

Liver MRI at Klinika JL uses the Philips 3 Tesla scanner with gadolinium contrast to provide definitive characterisation of liver lesions — distinguishing benign haemangiomas, focal nodular hyperplasia and adenomas from hepatocellular carcinoma and metastases in a way that ultrasound and CT cannot reliably achieve. Dynamic contrast sequences capture arterial, portal venous and delayed phases of enhancement, which are the hallmark pattern that identifies HCC. 3 Tesla field strength enables diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) that adds functional information about cell density. Self-pay patients pay 9,000 Kč plus contrast. Three-to-four hour fasting before the scan reduces bowel motion artefact.

MRI enterography (MR enterografie) at Klinika JL is the investigation of choice for small bowel imaging in Crohn's disease, providing comprehensive cross-sectional views of bowel wall thickness, enhancement pattern, mesenteric inflammation and fistula formation without radiation exposure — a critical advantage given the young age of many Crohn's patients. The 90-minute pre-scan oral contrast preparation (a large volume of polyethylene glycol or mannitol solution) distends the small bowel so the wall can be assessed in full. Gadolinium contrast is given intravenously during the scan. Total appointment time is 2–3 hours.

MRI of the kidneys and pancreas at Klinika JL provides detailed cross-sectional imaging of the renal parenchyma, adrenal glands and pancreatic body and tail without radiation, using gadolinium contrast on the Philips 3 Tesla scanner. Renal cell carcinoma, angiomyolipomas, complex cysts (Bosniak grading) and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, IPMN and neuroendocrine tumours are reliably characterised. Three-to-four hour fasting is required. The 3 Tesla field strength provides diffusion-weighted imaging that improves small-lesion detection in both organs.
