About

Radiologisches Zentrum München (RZM) has been serving Munich patients since 1981, making it one of the city's longest-established independent radiology practices. The centre operates across four locations — Munich-Pasing, Munich City Centre, Gräfelfing, and Starnberg — with CT scanning available at the Pasing and Gräfelfing sites. At the Munich-Pasing main location on Pippinger Straße, RZM runs two state-of-the-art Siemens multispiral CT scanners: the Somatom Definition AS64 (64-line) and the Somatom go.Up 32 (32-line). Both are equipped with digital dose-reduction technology that achieves 50% lower radiation exposure compared to standard devices — a significant advantage for patients who require repeat imaging or tumour follow-up care. Results are discussed with patients directly after imaging, and written findings are transmitted digitally to referring physicians on the same day. The cardiovascular imaging department specialises in coronary calcium scoring and non-invasive CT coronary angiography for ruling out significant coronary artery disease. The thoracic team covers lung CT for oncological staging, pulmonary vascular assessment, and high-resolution CT for COPD and other chronic lung conditions. A dedicated neuroradiology, abdominal, musculoskeletal, and breast diagnostics service rounds out the full diagnostic spectrum. Self-pay (Selbstzahler) and privately insured patients are welcome. RZM maintains a dedicated private consultation telephone line (+49 89 896 000 33) separate from the main switchboard. Appointments for CT, MRI, and specialist imaging require advance booking; digital X-ray examinations are available as walk-ins during opening hours. Online appointment booking and a secure patient portal are available. The English-language website reflects the centre's openness to international visitors.
