Duration

Multi-slice CT imaging at Munich-Pasing using Siemens Somatom Definition AS64 (64-line) and Somatom go.Up 32 scanners. Digital dose-reduction technology cuts radiation exposure by 50% versus standard devices. Covers all body regions — head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and spine. Written findings transmitted to your GP by digital fax the same day.

General CT at RZM München uses two Siemens multispiral scanners located at the Pasing practice: the Somatom Definition AS64, a 64-line spiral CT capable of capturing multiple simultaneous image layers per rotation, and the Somatom go.Up 32, a 32-line spiral CT. Both platforms are equipped with digital dose-reduction computation that achieves approximately 50% lower radiation exposure compared to standard CT devices, while maintaining the full diagnostic image quality needed for confident reporting. This dose advantage is particularly significant for patients with chronic conditions or cancer who may require serial imaging over months or years. The CT service covers the complete spectrum of diagnostic indications. In the head and neck region, the primary applications include sinusitis, intracranial haemorrhage, and dental or jaw assessment (dental CT). Chest CT evaluates lung tumours and metastases, pneumonia, pleural disease, and chest wall pathology. Abdominal and pelvic CT assesses liver, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, adrenal glands, lymph node enlargement, vascular dilatations, and peritoneal fluid. Spine CT evaluates intervertebral disc disease in the cervical and lumbar spine, vertebral fractures, osteolyses, and three-dimensional reconstructions for surgical planning. CT angiography of the major vascular territories (aorta, pulmonary circulation, limb vessels) is also performed. Contrast-enhanced studies use intravenous iodine-based contrast for improved soft-tissue differentiation; current kidney function and thyroid values are required before contrast administration. Most scans are completed within a few minutes of table time. Results are discussed with the patient immediately after imaging is reviewed, and a written report is transmitted to the referring physician by digital fax on the same day — enabling rapid clinical decisions. Self-pay patients can arrange examination directly by calling the private consultation line (+49 89 896 000 33). Advance booking is required.
