Type
Contrast Therapy
Duration
45 min
A 45-minute private contrast therapy session combining a choice of infrared or steam sauna with a cold plunge held at 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Guests alternate between heat and cold at their own pace in a fully enclosed private room with music controls and adjustable lighting. The combination of vasodilation from heat and vasoconstriction from cold is associated with improved circulation, reduced muscle soreness, and enhanced recovery. A guest add-on for US$20 allows a second person to share the room. Available at both the Mission and Marina locations, with introductory pricing at US$40 per session in a 3-pack for new clients.
Fire & Ice Contrast Therapy at Reboot Float & Cryo Spa provides a private room experience where guests alternate between a heat source and a cold plunge pool at their own pace for up to 45 minutes. Each room contains either an infrared sauna or a steam sauna paired with a cold plunge maintained at approximately 45 degrees Fahrenheit, giving guests control over the intensity and rhythm of their contrast cycles. Contrast therapy works through the alternating effects of vasodilation and vasoconstriction. Exposure to heat causes blood vessels to widen, increasing blood flow to muscles and soft tissue. Immersion in cold water triggers the opposite response, constricting blood vessels and redirecting blood toward the core. Repeating this cycle is associated with improved lymphatic drainage, reduced delayed-onset muscle soreness, and a general sense of invigoration that many clients describe as both energising and calming. The private room format is central to the Fire & Ice experience. Unlike shared facilities where sauna and cold plunge are in communal areas, each Reboot contrast room is fully enclosed with its own sauna unit and plunge pool. This allows guests to transition between hot and cold at whatever interval feels right for them without coordinating with other users or feeling self-conscious. Music controls and adjustable lighting are available in each room. At the Mission location, two Fire & Ice rooms are available with a choice of infrared or steam heat. The Marina location offers four rooms, all featuring the same private contrast setup. Both locations maintain the cold plunge at a consistent 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Guests typically complete three to six contrast cycles within the 45-minute window, spending roughly five to ten minutes in the sauna followed by one to three minutes in the plunge. A guest add-on is available for US$20, allowing a second person to share the private room during the same session. The introductory 3-pack at US$120 brings the per-session cost to US$40 for new clients, with a 30-day expiry window. Regular pricing and membership options provide ongoing access for those who make contrast therapy a regular part of their recovery practice.
