Radiologie am Turm is a private radiology practice at Oeder Weg 2-4 in Frankfurt am Main's Nordend-West district, within walking distance of the Alte Oper and the U-Bahn stop at Grüneburgweg. The practice is led by Prof. Dr. Volkmar Jacobi, who served for many years as deputy director of radiology at Frankfurt University Hospital and specialises in pulmonary imaging. His team includes Dr. med. Jessen Gurung (joint imaging specialist) and Dr. med. Simon Bokler (prostate MRI specialist). The imaging equipment is centred on two flagship systems: a Siemens 3 Tesla Lumina MRI — the top of the Siemens MRI line and described by the practice as among the most powerful and modern available — and a new dedicated CT scanner running low-dose protocols for every applicable examination. The wide-bore MRI design accommodates patients with claustrophobia and larger body frames. For CT, the practice emphasises ultralow radiation dose, particularly for thoracic screening and sinus imaging. The practice accepts private patients, self-payers, and patients with statutory health insurance who wish to pay out of pocket — no referral is required. Appointments are available within 48 hours, and every patient receives a direct consultation with the radiologist immediately after the examination. Digital images are delivered promptly for sharing with referring physicians. Specialised check-up programmes are offered for prostate cancer screening (multiparametric MRI, detecting lesions from 3 mm) and breast cancer screening (bilateral breast MRI in a dedicated phased-array coil). Free parking validation for one hour in the adjacent Turm-Center car park is provided for all patients.
