CT-Guided Ozone Injection for Back Pain
PRIVAMED's radiology department performs CT-guided pain-management injections of spinal nerve roots (periradicular therapy) and facet joints for chronic back and radicular leg pain, with ozone application available as a published self-pay add-on at 1,200 Kč. Under CT navigation, the radiologist places the needle with millimetre precision at the affected nerve root or facet joint and applies an ozone-oxygen mixture, which is associated with anti-inflammatory effects and, in disc-related root compression, with shrinkage of herniated disc material. CT guidance means the injection reaches exactly the structure generating the pain — a key advantage over blind or landmark-guided injections. The procedure is outpatient, takes well under an hour including positioning and control scans, and is performed within a full acute-care hospital with the standard radiology booking pathway.

CT Scan (Somatom X-Cite)
The CT suite at PRIVAMED's radiology department runs a Siemens Somatom X-Cite multidetector scanner covering head, neck, chest and mediastinum including high-resolution lung CT (HRCT), spine and limbs, and the abdominal cavity and retroperitoneum. Advanced protocols include CT enteroclysis, CT colonography and virtual colonoscopy, and CT angiography of the vascular system. The department also performs image-guided interventions under CT navigation — biopsies, punctures and drainage of pathological collections, and pain-management injections of nerve roots and facet joints. The fully digital workflow allows lower radiation doses while improving image quality, and all studies are archived in PACS with electronic transfer to the referring physician. Czech-insured patients attend with a referral; self-pay examinations are quoted and booked through the dedicated CT line.

Mammography & Breast Ultrasound (Self-Pay)
The PRIVAMED MamoCentrum in Plzeň is an accredited Czech mammography screening centre offering low-dose digital mammography and high-resolution breast ultrasound with clearly published self-pay prices from 700 Kč. Each examination includes two views per breast on the Mammomat Inspiration low-dose unit, immediate image reading by screening-accredited radiologists, a preliminary result discussed with the patient on the day, and — where findings are equivocal — same-day supplementary ultrasound on a top-category Canon Aplio scanner with high-resolution probes. Breast and axilla ultrasound is also available as a standalone examination, suitable for younger, pregnant or breastfeeding women where ultrasound is the preferred first-line modality, and a dedicated implant-check ultrasound is offered for women with breast implants. The centre keeps a screening register, performs targeted biopsies of suspicious lesions, and has direct referral pathways to breast clinics within the PRIVAMED hospital group.

MRI Scan (1.5T Magnetom Amira)
PRIVAMED's radiology department operates a Siemens Magnetom Amira 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner covering the most requested examinations: brain and head, neck, cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, joints, pelvis, and abdominal studies including liver, kidney and MR enterography protocols, plus MR angiography of the vascular system. The department is fully digital — images are stored in PACS and shared over the Czech national medical imaging network, so reports and image data transfer directly to the referring specialist. MRI uses no ionising radiation, making it the modality of choice for soft-tissue, neurological and joint imaging. Czech-insured patients attend with a referral at no cost; self-pay patients can request a quote and appointment through the dedicated MRI booking line, with typically shorter waiting times than large university hospitals in the region.
