The CT suite at PRIVAMED's radiology department runs a Siemens Somatom X-Cite multidetector scanner covering head, neck, chest and mediastinum including high-resolution lung CT (HRCT), spine and limbs, and the abdominal cavity and retroperitoneum. Advanced protocols include CT enteroclysis, CT colonography and virtual colonoscopy, and CT angiography of the vascular system. The department also performs image-guided interventions under CT navigation — biopsies, punctures and drainage of pathological collections, and pain-management injections of nerve roots and facet joints. The fully digital workflow allows lower radiation doses while improving image quality, and all studies are archived in PACS with electronic transfer to the referring physician. Czech-insured patients attend with a referral; self-pay examinations are quoted and booked through the dedicated CT line.

Preparation required
Bring your referral (žádanka) if Czech-insured and any previous imaging. For contrast examinations, recent kidney function (creatinine) results may be required and you may be asked to fast — follow the instructions given at booking. Declare contrast allergies, thyroid disease and metformin use. Bowel protocols require specific preparation communicated when booking.

Price on request — PRIVAMED does not publish a self-pay CT price list; self-pay quotes are provided by the CT booking office on +420 377 182 407 (Mon–Fri 7:00–14:00). For Czech-insured patients with a physician referral, the examination is covered by public health insurance. One published self-pay extra: CT-guided ozone application 1,200 Kč (listed separately). Payment for self-pay care is in cash at the hospital cashier.
