Founded in 2014 by MUDr. Tomáš Hanzelka Ph.D. — a senior lecturer at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, and an expert of the Czech Dental Chamber in orthodontics — the practice has built its reputation as one of Prague's leading academic-clinical orthodontic teams. The clinic uses both Invisalign and Spark, the two most clinically validated clear aligner systems, with digital treatment planning based on intraoral scanning (Trios 3Shape), CBCT imaging (Vatech Green), and Dolphin 3D orthognathic planning software. Treatment is purely private pay; insurance does not cover adult orthodontic care in the Czech Republic. Ortovize offers accelerated orthodontic options including PRP, corticotomy, and AcceleDent/OrthoPulse vibrational devices for patients seeking faster results. Orthognathic surgery coordination is available for complex skeletal jaw discrepancies in collaboration with maxillofacial specialists. Invisalign / Spark Clear Aligner Treatment

Ortovize offers full Invisalign and Spark clear aligner treatment at its specialist orthodontic practice in Prague 2, led by academic orthodontist MUDr. Tomáš Hanzelka Ph.D. Both systems use a series of custom-made transparent removable trays to gradually reposition teeth. Treatment is planned digitally from an intraoral scan (Trios 3Shape), with a 3D preview of the projected outcome before committing. Attachments (tooth-coloured composite bumps) are bonded to teeth at the start to give the aligners grip for more complex movements. Full treatment for most adult cases runs 85,000–115,000 Kč all-inclusive, with check-ups included at no additional charge.

Orthodontic Consultation

An initial orthodontic consultation at Ortovize covers assessment of teeth alignment, bite, jaw relationships, and facial profile. The specialist orthodontist discusses treatment options including Invisalign, Spark, or fixed braces, and advises on timing, duration, and expected outcomes. Suitable for adults and children from age 7. The consultation costs 1,000 Kč for patients aged 10 and over, 500 Kč for under-10s.

Tooth Extraction

Ortovize offers tooth extractions on-site — both simple extractions and surgical removal of impacted or retained teeth — as part of the pre-orthodontic preparation workflow. Having extraction capability in-house is convenient for orthodontic patients who need teeth removed to create space before aligner or brace treatment begins, avoiding the need to coordinate with a separate dental practice. Simple extractions are performed under local anaesthetic and take 15–30 minutes; impacted tooth removals are more involved and may require 30–60 minutes.
