Finnish Dry Sauna Session (60min)

Type

Sauna

Duration

1 hour

A traditional Finnish dry fire sauna session reaching 100-110°C with very low humidity. The hottest zone at HOT SPOT Saunarium, designed for experienced sauna users seeking intense heat exposure, cardiovascular conditioning, and deep perspiration.

The Finnish dry sauna at HOT SPOT Saunarium is a traditional fire-heated sauna cabin that reaches temperatures of 100-110°C — the hottest zone in the facility. The sauna uses a wood-burning or electric kiuas (sauna stove) loaded with volcanic stones, producing intense dry heat with minimal humidity. This environment creates the classic Finnish sauna experience: rapid core temperature elevation, profuse sweating, and a strong cardiovascular response. At these temperatures, the body's thermoregulatory system activates fully. Heart rate increases to 100-150 beats per minute (comparable to moderate-intensity exercise), blood vessels dilate to dissipate heat through the skin, and the sweat glands produce up to 500ml of perspiration per 15-minute session. Research on regular Finnish sauna use has shown associations with reduced cardiovascular mortality, lower blood pressure, improved endothelial function, and decreased risk of dementia and Alzheimer's disease — with frequency of use (4-7 sessions per week) correlating with greater risk reduction. Sessions in the Finnish zone are typically shorter than in the infrared zone due to the extreme temperatures — 10 to 20 minutes per round is standard, with guests alternating between heat exposure and cooling at the cold plunge pool or relaxation area. This contrast between extreme heat and cold produces a powerful vascular pumping effect that enhances circulation and promotes post-session relaxation. The Finnish sauna is included in all entry passes. The 1-hour pass at 55 PLN provides enough time for 2-3 rounds of heat-and-cool cycling. Guests seeking a longer, more deliberate sauna practice may prefer the OPEN unlimited pass at 125 PLN, which allows unlimited time until closing and includes access to the scheduled aufguss ceremonies.
