Targeted laser treatment that uses light energy to break down unwanted pigment, close small vessels, fade tattoos and remove hair — evening out skin tone and texture. At West Art Esthetic the aesthetic laser is priced per spot from 50 Kč, so the total scales with the size and number of areas treated. The light is absorbed selectively by its target — melanin in a pigment spot or hair follicle, haemoglobin in a thread vein, ink in a tattoo — heating and disrupting it while sparing the surrounding skin. It addresses sun and age spots, spider and thread veins, unwanted tattoos and unwanted hair.

Aesthetic laser treatment works on the principle of selective photothermolysis: a specific wavelength of light is chosen so that it is absorbed preferentially by one target in the skin and largely ignored by the surrounding tissue. The absorbed light becomes heat, which destroys or fragments the target — the melanin pigment in a sun spot or age spot, the melanin in a hair follicle's root, the haemoglobin inside a small dilated vessel, or the ink particles of a tattoo — while the cooler surrounding skin is protected. The body then clears the fragmented pigment or closed vessel over the following days and weeks. At West Art Esthetic the aesthetic laser is priced per spot from 50 Kč, which makes small, defined targets such as an individual sun spot, a thread vein or a small area of unwanted hair very accessible; the total simply scales with how much is treated, confirmed at consultation. It is used for pigmentation (sun and age spots and uneven tone), vascular lesions (spider veins and thread veins, typically on the face and legs), tattoo fading and removal, and hair removal (epilation). This is the aesthetic laser on the West Art Esthetic side and is distinct from the therapeutic physiotherapy laser used for pain and healing on the medical side. During a session the area is cleansed and protective eyewear is worn. The practitioner delivers pulses of light to each target; patients usually feel a quick snapping or pinprick sensation with each pulse. Pigment spots often darken briefly before flaking away over one to two weeks; treated vessels fade as they are reabsorbed; hair sheds over the following weeks and is reduced progressively. Pigment and vascular targets may clear in one or a few sessions, while tattoo removal and hair removal both require a course spaced several weeks apart, as ink clears gradually and hair must be treated across its growth cycles. After treatment the area may be slightly pink or show light crusting on pigment spots; this settles within days. Strict sun protection is essential before and after, and the treatment is best avoided on recently tanned skin. Contraindications — pregnancy, photosensitising medication, certain skin conditions and very dark or tanned skin for some indications — are reviewed at the 500 Kč consultation, which is free when a procedure follows.
