Physiotherapy

Duration

1 hour

Evidence-based physiotherapy at VO2MAX uses kinesiological analysis to identify the precise root cause of pain or movement restriction before any hands-on treatment begins. Each 60-minute initial session combines manual techniques — drawn from Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), the McKenzie method, visceral therapy, and myofascial medicine — with targeted kinesiotherapy and patient education. On-site technology including high-powered lasers, TR Therapy radiofrequency, radial shockwave, focused shockwave, and diagnostic ultrasound means that most presentations can be fully assessed and treated without sending you to another facility. The result is a single-visit experience that gives you a clear diagnosis, a hands-on treatment, and a home exercise programme all at once.

VO2MAX approaches adult physiotherapy as a detective process before a therapeutic one. At the start of every initial appointment, a licensed physiotherapist carries out a full kinesiological analysis — observing movement patterns, assessing muscle recruitment sequences, and testing joint mobility — to find what is actually driving the pain rather than simply treating the symptom. This foundation allows the clinician to select from more than twelve treatment methods, including Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (developed at the Prague School of Rehabilitation), the McKenzie method for spinal disc and nerve conditions, Voigt method, visceral therapy for organ-related postural effects, yogatherapy, and flossing techniques for nerve mobility. Once the root cause is identified, the session moves into hands-on treatment. Manual therapy and joint mobilisation address structural restrictions, while targeted kinesiotherapy retrains movement patterns that caused the problem in the first place. For presentations that benefit from physical modalities, the clinic applies high-powered laser therapy to accelerate tissue repair, TR Therapy (radiofrequency-based deep heat) to reduce chronic inflammation, or shockwave therapy — available in both radial (broad tissue) and focused (precise depth) forms — to treat tendinopathies and calcifications that do not respond to manual work alone. Diagnostic ultrasound is used in-session to confirm soft tissue findings. Conditions commonly resolved include cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine pain; headaches originating from the cervical spine; disc herniation with radiating symptoms; shoulder, hip, and knee joint dysfunction; arthritis and degenerative joint disease; muscle and tendon injuries; post-surgical rehabilitation; and neurological conditions affecting movement. The initial session always ends with a personalised home exercise programme so improvements continue between visits. Most patients are recommended a short course of follow-up sessions at 1,575 Kč (55 min) to consolidate gains, with frequency tapering as function improves. Insurance patients may access the service at contracted rates through their Czech health insurer.
