Multi-slice CT scan of any standard body region at SurGal Clinic Brno, using AIDR-equipped technology that reduces radiation dose by 50–80%. Performed by a specialist radiology team on weekdays. Insurance covered for Czech patients; self-pay available.
SurGal Clinic's CT department in Brno provides high-resolution multi-slice computed tomography for a wide range of body regions, supported by AIDR (Adaptive Iterative Dose Reduction) software — a technology that substantially reduces the radiation dose delivered during the examination by 50 to 80% compared to conventional CT, while preserving diagnostic image quality. This makes SurGal's CT service one of the lower-dose options available in Brno for patients who require repeated imaging or who are particularly sensitive to radiation. The department is led by prim. MUDr. Lukáš Hruška and staffed by MUDr. Iva Chocholatá, MUDr. Pavlína Jurišicová, and MUDr. Tibor Lakatos — a four-doctor radiology team with broad cross-specialty referral experience covering neurology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, surgical, and oncological indications. A standard CT scan images the target region using a series of thin axial slices reconstructed into cross-sectional and three-dimensional views by post-processing software. Common regions examined include the head, thorax (chest and lungs), abdomen, pelvis, spine at any level, paranasal sinuses, neck soft tissues, and extremities. Each scan uses protocols calibrated to the region, with or without intravenous contrast depending on the clinical indication. The radiologist prepares a written report and the results are available as digital imaging files. SurGal Clinic is contracted with all Czech public health insurers, so referred patients can access CT imaging without direct cost. Self-pay patients — including foreign visitors and those without a referral — can book directly through the clinic's foreign-patient portal, SurGal Premium (premium.surgalclinic.cz), which provides English-language coordination, appointment booking, and result communication. The Premium team is reachable at +420 532 149 456. Appointments are required in advance; walk-in CT is not available. The clinic operates its outpatient imaging service on weekdays from 07:00 to 15:30. The inpatient and emergency radiology function operates continuously. SurGal Clinic is located at Drobného 38-40 in Brno's Černá Pole district, easily accessible by public transport and 20 minutes from Brno-Tuřany Airport.
