A 90-minute traditional Turkish hammam ritual at Studio Sante, including full-body steam treatment, exfoliating kese scrub, and soap foam massage in a dedicated marble hammam chamber.

The hammam at Studio Sante follows the traditional Turkish bathing sequence adapted for a modern wellness setting. The 90-minute session takes place in a dedicated marble-clad hammam chamber maintained at a warm, humid temperature that opens the pores and softens the skin in preparation for the physical treatments that follow. The experience is guided by a trained hammam therapist throughout. The session begins with approximately 15 to 20 minutes of passive warming on the heated marble platform (gobektasi), allowing the body's core temperature to rise gradually and the skin to fully hydrate in the steam-rich environment. This preparation phase is critical to the effectiveness of the subsequent exfoliation — without adequate steam exposure, the dead skin layer resists the scrubbing mitt and the results are significantly diminished. The exfoliation phase uses a kese mitt — a coarse-textured glove traditionally woven from plant fibres or synthetic mesh — applied in long, firm strokes across the entire body. This removes the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of dead skin cells), revealing softer, smoother skin beneath and improving the skin's ability to absorb moisture. The visible rolls of exfoliated skin are a distinctive hallmark of the hammam experience and often surprise first-time visitors with the volume of material removed. The final phase is a soap foam massage: the therapist generates a large volume of fine foam from olive oil soap and applies it across the body, working the foam into the freshly exfoliated skin with rhythmic, flowing massage movements. This combines cleansing with light-to-medium pressure bodywork, producing a uniquely silky tactile sensation. The session concludes with warm and cool water rinses. At 440 PLN for 90 minutes, the hammam is Studio Sante's premium ritual experience.
