What's included
3 deliverables in this treatment
- Blood draw and in-clinic centrifuge preparation
- A-PRF membrane and/or I-PRF for grafting as planned
- Integration into the implant or regeneration procedure
Platelet-rich fibrin prepared from a small sample of the patient's own blood, spun in a centrifuge at the time of surgery and used to support healing after extractions, during sinus lift and alongside bone regeneration. Because it comes entirely from the patient there is no rejection risk. A-PRF is used mainly as a membrane, while the more fluid I-PRF is added to grafting biomaterials to enrich them with growth factors.
About this treatment
A-PRF and I-PRF are forms of platelet-rich fibrin made from the patient's own blood, used to assist healing and regeneration in implant and oral surgery. A small blood sample is drawn and processed immediately before the procedure in a dedicated centrifuge in the clinic; because the material originates from the patient's own body, the risk of rejection is eliminated. The resulting fibrin is rich in platelets and releases growth factors at high…
The two preparations serve slightly different roles. A-PRF is firmer and is used mainly as a natural membrane — for example over a socket after extraction or as a barrier during bone regeneration. I-PRF stays more fluid for around twelve to fifteen minutes after preparation, which lets it be mixed into grafting biomaterials to densify them and add growth factors before they are placed. In practice the clinic uses these techniques as natural wound-healing…
