3T-only multiparametric prostate MRI combining anatomical, diffusion, and dynamic contrast sequences for prostate cancer detection and PI-RADS scoring.
Skanmex's multiparametric prostate MRI is performed exclusively on the 3T scanner, which provides the signal-to-noise ratio needed for reliable PI-RADS scoring. The protocol combines T2-weighted anatomical images, diffusion-weighted imaging with ADC maps, and dynamic contrast-enhanced sequences to detect and characterize prostatic lesions. At 1,900 PLN on the 3T platform (1,750 PLN for a slightly reduced protocol), this is competitively priced for multiparametric prostate imaging in Poland. The 3T field strength is particularly important for prostate imaging, where the small target anatomy and need for multi-parametric assessment benefit from the higher signal available at stronger field strengths. Each lesion is scored on the PI-RADS scale (1-5), with PI-RADS 4-5 indicating high probability of clinically significant cancer. This guides urologists in deciding between targeted biopsy, active surveillance, and further investigation. The examination also assesses for extracapsular extension and seminal vesicle invasion.
