The knee MRI at Skanmex provides comprehensive evaluation of menisci, cruciate ligaments, collateral ligaments, cartilage, and bone marrow. The protocol includes sagittal, coronal, and axial sequences optimized for internal derangement detection. The 3T field strength is particularly advantageous for cartilage assessment, where the higher resolution enables detection of subtle chondral defects and early osteoarthritic changes that may be less visible at lower field strengths. The radiologist systematically evaluates the medial and lateral menisci, anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments, articular cartilage on all three compartments, bone marrow for oedema, and the extensor mechanism.
