Endometriosis MRI (3T)

Type

MRI Scan

Duration

50 min

Dedicated 3T pelvic MRI protocol with contrast for endometriosis detection and mapping. Available exclusively on the 3 Tesla scanner for superior tissue characterization.

Skanmex offers a dedicated endometriosis MRI protocol on the 3T scanner, designed to detect and map endometriotic implants throughout the pelvis. The examination uses high-resolution T2-weighted images, fat-suppressed T1 sequences for identifying haemorrhagic endometriomas, and post-contrast series for assessing active disease. At 1,900 PLN (1,600 PLN for the 1.5T alternative), this protocol provides the detailed mapping that gynaecological surgeons need for operative planning. The 3T platform is preferred for endometriosis imaging because the higher resolution improves detection of small peritoneal implants, deep infiltrating endometriosis of the rectovaginal septum, and uterosacral ligament involvement. The radiologist documents endometriotic lesion locations, sizes, and depth of invasion using standardized reporting to guide surgical decision-making.
