Skanmex's 3T brain MRI provides detailed multi-planar imaging of the cerebral hemispheres, cerebellum, brainstem, and posterior fossa with standard T1, T2, FLAIR, and diffusion-weighted sequences. The 3 Tesla field strength delivers superior signal-to-noise ratio compared to 1.5T, improving detection of small lesions and subtle signal changes. A distinguishing feature of Skanmex's brain imaging is the availability of MR spectroscopy at the 3T level (1,800 PLN including the brain scan). Spectroscopy measures metabolite concentrations within brain tissue — including N-acetylaspartate, choline, creatine, and lactate — providing biochemical information that aids in tumour grading, distinguishing recurrence from radiation necrosis, and characterizing metabolic disorders. This capability is typically only available at university hospitals and large imaging centres. For comprehensive neurovascular assessment, contrast-enhanced brain MRI with spectroscopy is available at 2,050-2,300 PLN depending on contrast volume. The native brain scan at 850 PLN on 3T (750 PLN on 1.5T) provides excellent value for standard neurological screening.
