Abdominal MRI with Contrast

The contrast-enhanced abdominal MRI at Skanmex uses gadolinium contrast agent to provide detailed evaluation of the solid abdominal organs. Pre- and post-contrast T1-weighted sequences combined with T2 and diffusion imaging enable confident characterization of focal liver lesions, pancreatic masses, renal tumours, and adrenal nodules. At 1,600 PLN on the 3T (1,400 PLN on 1.5T), the examination includes the contrast agent cost. The 3T platform is preferred for liver studies where the higher resolution improves detection of small metastases and enables more confident characterization of haemangiomas, focal nodular hyperplasia, and hepatocellular carcinoma. This examination is particularly indicated when CT contrast is contraindicated, when MRI's soft-tissue contrast provides diagnostic advantage, or for surveillance of known hepatic or pancreatic lesions.
