About this treatment
Alcohol metabolism generates acetaldehyde — a toxic intermediate that is primarily responsible for hangover symptoms including headache, nausea, and fatigue. The liver relies on glutathione to neutralise acetaldehyde and convert it into harmless acetic acid, but heavy drinking depletes glutathione stores faster than the body can replenish them. Direct intravenous glutathione delivery helps restore this critical detoxification capacity.
Dehydration is the other major driver of hangover misery. Alcohol suppresses antidiuretic hormone (vasopressin), causing excessive fluid and electrolyte loss.
