Infrared Sauna Session

Type

Sauna

Duration

1 hour

A deep-penetrating infrared heat therapy session in SaunaPark Platinium's dedicated infrared sauna zone. Infrared wavelengths heat the body directly rather than the surrounding air, enabling therapeutic warmth at lower ambient temperatures.

The infrared sauna at SaunaPark Platinium uses infrared radiation to deliver heat directly to the body through radiant energy, bypassing the need to heat the surrounding air to extreme temperatures. This produces a fundamentally different thermal experience from the facility's Finnish fire sauna or steam room — the air temperature remains moderate and comfortable to breathe, while the body itself warms deeply from within. Infrared saunas operate across multiple wavelength bands. Near-infrared (IR-A) penetrates deepest, reaching subcutaneous tissue, muscles, and joints. Mid-infrared (IR-B) targets the deeper dermis, while far-infrared (IR-C) acts on the skin surface and superficial tissues. The combined effect is a thorough, even warming that promotes vasodilation, increases peripheral circulation, and induces perspiration without the respiratory discomfort that some guests experience in high-temperature dry saunas. The lower ambient temperature of the infrared zone allows for longer session times compared to the Finnish sauna — 20 to 40 minutes is typical, versus 10-20 minutes in extreme dry heat. This extended exposure time, combined with the direct tissue heating mechanism, makes infrared sauna particularly valued for musculoskeletal recovery, joint stiffness, chronic pain management, and gentle detoxification through perspiration. Athletes and fitness enthusiasts often use infrared sauna post-workout for its ability to promote muscle recovery without the cardiovascular intensity of a Finnish sauna session. The infrared sauna is included in all entry passes at SaunaPark Platinium. The 1-hour pass at 60 PLN provides access to all eight sauna zones, so guests can combine an infrared session with time in any other sauna type and the cold plunge pool within a single visit.
