Finnish Fire Sauna Session

Type

Sauna

Duration

1 hour

A traditional Finnish fire sauna session with dramatic fire-heated stones, reaching extreme temperatures. The flagship sauna at SaunaPark Platinium, offering the most intense heat exposure in the facility's eight-zone saunarium.

The Finnish fire sauna at SaunaPark Platinium is the facility's signature heat experience — a traditional sauna design where stones are heated by a wood-burning or powerful electric stove to produce intense, dry radiant heat. The dramatic visible fire element and glowing stones create an atmosphere that connects to centuries of Nordic sauna tradition while delivering the most extreme temperatures available in the saunarium. At peak operating temperatures, the Finnish fire sauna produces the strongest thermoregulatory response of any zone in the facility. The body reacts to the extreme dry heat by rapidly increasing heart rate to 100-150 bpm, dilating peripheral blood vessels to dissipate heat through the skin, and activating sweat glands to produce up to 500ml of perspiration per 15-minute session. This cardiovascular stress response is what gives Finnish sauna bathing its documented associations with reduced cardiovascular mortality, lower blood pressure, and decreased risk of stroke. Sessions in the Finnish fire sauna are typically kept to 10-20 minutes per round due to the intense temperatures. The recommended protocol is heat-cool cycling: a round in the Finnish sauna followed by immersion in the cold plunge pool, then a rest period before repeating. Two to three rounds is standard for a 1-hour visit. This contrast between extreme heat and cold produces a powerful vascular pumping effect — vessels dilate in the sauna and constrict in the cold plunge — that enhances circulation and triggers the release of norepinephrine, endorphins, and heat shock proteins. The Finnish fire sauna is included in all entry passes. At 60 PLN for a 1-hour pass, guests can combine the Finnish experience with rotations through any of the other seven sauna types and the cold plunge pool. Walk-ins are welcome — no advance booking is required.
