Self-pay musculoskeletal MRI at Sagena Frýdek-Místek images muscles, joints and bones in high detail — meniscal and ligament tears, cartilage lesions, occult fractures invisible on X-ray, and inflammatory or tumourous changes of the skeleton. Suitable for shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and the small joints of the hand. The 3T Magnetom VIDA is especially strong for cartilage, tendon and bone imaging, making this a go-to scan for orthopaedic and sports injuries; two joints can be combined at a package price.
About this treatment
Joint MRI is the definitive non-invasive examination for orthopaedic and sports medicine: it shows the structures that X-ray and ultrasound cannot fully assess — menisci, cruciate and collateral ligaments, labrum, articular cartilage, tendons, bone marrow and the soft tissues around the joint.
Why 3T matters for joints
cartilage, tendons and bone have a low proton content and are inherently difficult to image at 1.5T. Sagena's Magnetom VIDA 3T, with Deep Resolve AI reconstruction, makes these low-signal structures markedly more visible — helpful for subtle cartilage defects, partial tendon tears and early degenerative change that drive treatment decisions in orthopaedics and sports medicine.
