Outdoor Finnish Sauna

Type

Sauna

Duration

1 hour

Singapore's first outdoor Finnish sauna, designed for deep relaxation and nervous system regulation. Paired with cold plunge pools for a full contrast therapy session.

REVA is home to Singapore's first outdoor Finnish sauna, positioned as the heat anchor of the club's contrast therapy protocol. Finnish-style saunas operate at high dry heat (typically 80–100°C) with low humidity, producing a distinct deep-body warming effect that promotes muscle relaxation, vasodilation, and neurological downregulation. At REVA, the outdoor setting adds a dimension of openness that traditional indoor saunas cannot replicate — airflow, ambient light, and the semi-tropical Singapore environment create a unique sauna experience rarely found in an urban CBD-adjacent location. The sauna is intended to be used as part of a hot–cold contrast cycle: entering the hot pool (41°C) or sauna first, then transitioning to one of the cold plunge pools (5–7°C or 10–12°C), and cycling multiple times across a session. This alternating protocol drives repeated cardiovascular stress-and-recovery responses, shown in clinical literature to improve endothelial function, reduce blood pressure over time, boost growth hormone release, and enhance overall recovery from physical and mental exertion. Regular sauna use has also been associated with reduced all-cause mortality and cardiovascular disease risk in population studies. REVA's sauna is included in the standard day pass (SGD 38), with no separate booking required. The communal layout encourages guests to share the space and experience — true to the Finnish tradition of sauna as a social and restorative ritual rather than a private amenity.
