Ultherapy — Non-surgical HIFU Facelift

OK Medical uses the genuine Ultherapy® device by Merz (Germany) — the only HIFU lifting system with FDA clearance for brow lifting and neck skin laxity. Unlike imitation devices that apply high-intensity focused ultrasound without the integrated imaging layer, authentic Ultherapy includes real-time ultrasound visualisation that lets the practitioner see the tissue layers being targeted before energy is delivered. This targeting precision allows treatment of the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system), the same fibromuscular layer addressed by a surgical facelift — without incisions or anaesthesia. Treatment zones include the lower face, full face, brow, submental region, neck, and décolletage. Maximum collagen remodelling completes at two to three months post-treatment.

The SMAS layer sits beneath the skin and superficial fat compartments of the face and connects the facial muscles to the overlying dermis. Surgical facelifts achieve their longevity by physically repositioning and suturing this layer; Ultherapy achieves a non-surgical equivalent by delivering micro-focused ultrasound energy to thermal coagulation points within the SMAS and the deep dermis, triggering the body's wound-healing response — specifically, fibroblast activation and new collagen deposition — without disturbing the skin surface. The critical distinguishing feature of Ultherapy over imitation HIFU devices is the integrated DeepSEE® ultrasound imaging system. Before depositing any therapeutic energy, the practitioner visualises the tissue layers on-screen to confirm the correct focal depth is being targeted and that no contraindicated structures (bone, blood vessels, nerves) are in the energy path. This real-time imaging step is absent from most non-branded HIFU devices and is the reason Ultherapy achieved FDA clearance while others did not. At OK Medical, the treatment is available for multiple anatomical zones. Lower-face protocols (jowls, jawline, perioral area) begin at 20,000 Kč. A full facelift protocol covering lower face, midface, and temporal region is 35,000 Kč. Browlift (forehead elevation and brow tail repositioning) is 10,000 Kč. Submental treatment of the chin and upper neck junction is 15,000 Kč. Neck treatment starts at 15,000 Kč and is available in combination with Radiesse biostimulatory filler (20,000 Kč) or a Skin Boost hydration layer (18,000 Kč). Décolletage treatment starts at 12,000 Kč. Enhanced '+' versions of each protocol use a higher total line count and are priced at a 15–30% premium. The Complete Ultherapy protocol covering all zones is 50,000 Kč (standard) or 75,000 Kč (Complete+). The treatment itself involves no anaesthesia — patients remain awake and fully clothed (except the treated area). The transducer delivers pulses in a linear pattern across the zone; each pulse produces a brief sensation of heat or mild discomfort at the focal depth. Total session time varies from approximately 30 minutes (browlift alone) to 90 minutes (full face and neck). No downtime is required — patients typically return to normal activities the same day. Collagen remodelling begins immediately but takes time to mature. Visible lifting is often noticed at four to six weeks; full effect consolidates at two to three months. Some patients opt for a single annual treatment to maintain results; others treat every 18 months. Contraindications: open lesions, cystic acne, metal implants or pacemakers within the treatment field, pregnancy, and severe skin laxity better addressed surgically.
