About this treatment
Thread lifting works by introducing fine, barbed or cogged threads into the subcutaneous tissue plane where the facial support ligaments connect skin to deeper structures. The APTOS system offers multiple thread types — Needle 2G, Excellence Visage, and Silhouette-style versions — selected by the physician based on the patient's anatomy, tissue laxity, and specific goals for lifting vector.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia injected at entry points. A cannula (not a needle scalpel) creates the subcutaneous channel, and the thread is passed through it — meaning no incision, no skin excision, and no stitches. Post-procedure the entry points are covered with small adhesive strips. There is no hospital stay required.
