Chemical peels at OK Medical use glycolic acid (15–70% concentration) and other acid formulations — including Easy Phytic, Droxy + Azaelic compound, and TCA — to create controlled exfoliation of the outermost skin layers. The practitioner selects concentration and contact time to achieve superficial, medium, or deep exfoliation depending on the indication and skin type. As the peeled layer sheds over subsequent days, the underlying skin emerges smoother, with improved clarity, reduced pigmentation, and diminished fine lines. Regular chemical peeling over a course of sessions can visibly reduce acne scarring and surface irregularities. A specialised intimate-area peel is also available at 3,400 Kč.
About this treatment
Chemical peeling uses exothermic acid reactions to create controlled damage at a defined depth in the skin. The acid penetrates and disrupts the bonds holding dead and damaged corneocytes together, causing them to shed in a process called desquamation. Preparation required
Avoid retinoids, AHAs, and BHAs for one week before treatment. Do not use isotretinoin within 12 months. If prone to cold sores, inform the clinic — prophylactic antiviral may be prescribed. Arrange SPF 30+ sunscreen for daily use post-treatment.
