Diagnostic computed tomography on a Siemens SOMATOM Definition Edge 128. Covers head, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and joints with dose-optimised protocols. Available with or without contrast. Timisoara's leading specialist imaging centre since 1999.

CT scanning at Neuromed Imaging Diagnostic Center in Timisoara is performed on a Siemens SOMATOM Definition Edge 128 — a 128-detector-row platform with a rotation time of 0.33 seconds and sub-millimetre spatial resolution across the entire scanning field. Neuromed was accredited as the fifth Siemens Training Centre in Europe in 2008, a credential that attests to the depth of clinical expertise maintained at the centre and to the technical capability of its installation. The service covers the full anatomical range. Cranial CT with or without contrast is used for stroke assessment (ischaemic and haemorrhagic), brain tumour evaluation, head trauma, and complex skull base and craniofacial fracture diagnosis. Cervical CT addresses inflammatory, infectious, and tumour pathology of the pharynx, larynx, and adjacent neck structures. Thoracic CT covers pulmonary and pleural pathology including infection, malignancy, and interstitial disease. Abdominal CT is indicated for liver, spleen, kidney, and pancreatic pathology, oncological staging, vascular disease including aortic aneurysm, and acute presentations such as appendicitis and renal colic. Pelvic CT extends the same diagnostic range to the pelvic organs. Spine CT is most commonly ordered for post-traumatic assessment, disc herniation, vertebral tumours, and quantitative bone density measurement. Joint CT provides detailed bone and cartilage imaging for complex fractures and orthopaedic planning. Contrast-enhanced protocols use intravenous iodine-based agents delivered at precisely timed phases to characterise lesions and map vascular anatomy. Patients requiring contrast provide recent kidney function and thyroid values, in keeping with standard European radiology practice. Oral contrast is used for abdominal and pelvic studies when bowel opacification is clinically indicated. The 128-slice platform supports automatic three-dimensional reconstruction and multi-planar reformatting. All data is accessible via the PACS system for remote review by the reporting radiologist and for patient CD archive. Neuromed has investigated over 300,000 patients since 1999, and the reporting team holds the clinical experience that comes from operating a high-volume regional centre. For international patients, the clinic is located on one of Timisoara's main central boulevards, approximately 25 minutes by taxi from Timisoara Traian Vuia International Airport. No Romanian physician referral is required for self-pay appointments. Booking is by telephone on +40 256 292 637.
