Neuromed Imaging Diagnostic Center

Neuromed Imaging Diagnostic Center is a private civil medical society founded in 1999 in Timisoara and owned by two Romanian physicians. Its central object of activity has always been high-performance imaging by magnetic resonance and computed tomography — modalities that now underpin virtually every specialty of modern medicine. In 2008, Siemens Germany accredited Neuromed as the fifth Siemens Training Centre in Europe, positioning it as a recognised regional hub for CT and MRI expertise. The credential reflects both the technical specification of the centre's equipment and the depth of clinical and scientific activity conducted on it. By 2026, Neuromed had investigated more than 300,000 patients and completed over 30,000 noninvasive cardiac and vascular studies, over 25,000 CT angiographies, and over 3,000 coronary CT angiographies. The CT service runs on a Siemens SOMATOM Definition Edge 128 — a 128-detector-row scanner with 0.33-second rotation time, sub-millimetre spatial resolution, and the speed needed for cardiac imaging without compromising dose. MRI services use a Siemens MAGNETOM Avanto 1.5T and Siemens MAGNETOM Amira 1.5T. Ultrasound equipment includes Siemens ACUSON S2000 and ACUSON Juniper devices alongside a GE Vivid machine. The clinic operates an anaesthesia and intensive care department capable of sedating claustrophobic, paediatric, and critically unwell patients, with experience of more than 15,000 anaesthesia procedures for imaging — a meaningful differentiator for patients who would otherwise be unable to complete MRI or CT studies.
